Pointers for those taking tests at SCARC VE Test Sessions

What you should bring with you

1. If you are a licensed operator, bring your current original ham license, as well as a copy. We cannot make copies at the test site; however, the Bruno's Supermarket next door makes copies for a fee.
2. Any applicable Original Certificiate of Successful Completion of Examination. Please also bring a copy of each CSCE.
3. A $14.00 fee applies to each test session. You may take as many examinations as you wish for this $14.00 fee as long as you pass. Any retaken exams will incur an additional $14.00 charge. You may only retake the same element you previously did not pass.
4. Your Social Security Number.
5. A calculator if you think you need one. (If you bring a programmable calculator, the memory MUST be cleared.)
6. At least one picture ID. (Such as a Driver's license.) If no picture ID is available, two of the following will be required:
   - Non-photo Driver's License or state-issued Identification card
   - Original Birth Certificate
   - Utility Bill, showing your name and address to be used on your FCC application.
   - Postmarked envelope addressed to the applicant with name and address to be used on the FCC Application.
   - School Report Card
   - Anything else of a similar nature that demonstrates your identity and residence.
