General Information for Everyone:
Shelby County ARC supports SCARES, the Shelby County Amateur Radio Emergency Service. SCARES holds Training Nets each Tuesday night at 8:00 PM local time on W4SHL's 146.98 MHz FM repeater — located in Pelham, Alabama. You are welcomed to listen in on our nets and if you hold a valid Amateur Radio Station License you may prticipate as well. If you are not yet licensed, please utilize our website's Resources page, there you may find self-study resources to help you acquire your entry level license. Licensing Instructors are available for anyone needing help in learning the material.

If you have scheduling conflicts arise, you may contact any of the other NCS stations to fill in for you.
